Abenaki works with larger groups to work on contentious building and decision making for issues impacting and involving many stakeholders. Specific expertise in facilitating environmental, workplace and community based issues.

Your Abenaki facilitator/mediator will focus on:

  1. identifying stakeholders and goals
  2. setting schedule for consensus building activities with deadlines
  3. providing agendas, overview and final reports as well as written agreements, standards, rules, and/or regulations that result from facilitation process
  4. reviewing existing data in order to have a basic understanding of issues and identify potential and existing strategies
  5. facilitating meetings with stakeholders and guiding the development of a cost-effective consensus building and decision making
  6. identifying stakeholders and their roles in the consensus building process
  7. identifying barriers and challenges
  8. identifying effective strategies
  9. identifying additional stakeholders needed to develop work plans
  10. developing a long-range action plan with specific measurable programs, activities, and policies in regards to critical issues
  11. developing and writing a process to fine-tune or modify strategies
  12. gaining stakeholder and staff support for both process and to develop a commitment to the consensus process
  13. reviewing available data
  14. identifing and describing the process to be used for meeting (number of meetings, timeline, and end products)
  15. providing detailed budget that identify the costs for each element of the consensus building process
